Rx PanaKare Plus Powder

PanaKare Plus is a pancreatic enzyme concentrate of porcine origin. It is used as a digestive aid in replacement therapy where digestion of proteins, carbohydrates, and fats is inadequate due to exocrine pancreatic insufficiency (EPI) in dogs and cats. Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency (EPI) is also known as Maldigestion and occurs when the cells of the pancreas that produce digestive enzymes (Lipase, Protease and Amylase) become damaged or lacking resulting in malnutrition despite an adequate appetite and intake of food.

Directions and Dosage

Dosage is estimated according to the severity of the condition and weight of the animal, and should be given before each meal. Add PanaKare Plus to moistened food (canned or dry). Thorough mixing is necessary to bring the enzymes into close contact with the food particles. After mixing, let stand at room temperature for 15-20 minutes.

Average dose/meal:

• Dogs: 3/4-1 teaspoon (2.8 g/teaspoon)
• Cats: 1/4-3/4 teaspoon

Precautions

Discontinue use in animals with symptoms of sensitivity. May cause oral mucosal irritation.
